ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 4x12-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM; manager will consider 3x12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Patient ratio of 1:4, may flex to 1:5
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• Previous charge experience required
• Must be comfortable working with General Emergency Department combined adult and pediatric patients, including triage
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Facility sees approximately 80 visits per day across 27 rooms
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Parking at no cost
• May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units and sister facilities
• Holiday rotation required as needed
• Block scheduling can be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
• Guaranteed hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• All requested time off must be included at time of submission; approval is based on facility needs
• Must complete all assigned modules prior to start date
• Attendance at staff meetings is required
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
