Telemetry RN Job in Chandler, AZ

Chandler Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for a Telemetry position on a 29-bed unit with all private rooms. This is a night shift role with self-scheduling flexibility, working three 12-hour shifts per week at $2,125.44 weekly pay. The assignment runs for 91 days, starting November 2, 2026.

Shift and Scheduling: Night shifts run from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with self-scheduling available on a first-come, first-served basis. Schedules post four weeks in advance. You will work three weekend shifts per schedule period (Friday/Saturday for nights), and holiday rotation requires coverage of two major Winter holidays and one major Summer holiday. Standby shifts align with standard staff expectations, and the hospital may cancel up to three shifts for this assignment duration.

Unit Details: The nurse-to-patient ratio is 4–5:1. Nurse aides are available on day shift only; nights operate with primary patient care at 4:1. A charge nurse without assignment works both day and night shifts. House Supervisors remain in-house 24/7 with a leader on call. Orientation includes two shifts with a preceptor upon start, plus a PASS/FAIL Sim Lab on day one.

Clinical Responsibilities: You will manage drips including Heparin, Lasix, Amiodarone, and Cardizem (no titration required), interpret cardiac monitor strips using GE Cardiac Monitors, and administer all breathing treatments. Common patient diagnoses include renal, GI, sepsis, and mental health conditions. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7; the unit accepts up to 6L oxygen only—no high flow or BiPAP. CPAP is available for non-obstructive sleep apnea. Remote Monitor Techs are available to support monitoring.

Requirements: You must hold ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and pass an ECG competency assessment. Within 48 hours of receiving an offer, you must pass a dysrhythmia exam through UNA (maximum two attempts). EKG competency, cardiac monitoring experience, and groin management experience are required. You must live more than 50 miles from the facility and provide a valid Driver's License. BSN is not required.

Additional Information: Charting uses Cerner. Wear Navy Blue scrubs (no t-shirts) and closed-toe shoes. Floating within the service line and overflow areas occurs as needed; travelers float first.
