Telemetry RN Job in Chandler, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the 29-bed Telemetry unit at Chandler Regional Medical Center. This is a night shift position with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4–5:1 on a unit where all rooms are private.

Schedule and Staffing

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Self-scheduling model with schedules posted 4 weeks in advance on a first-come, first-served basis
• 3 weekend shifts required per schedule period; night shift weekends are Friday and Saturday
• Holiday rotation required: 2 major Winter holidays and 1 major Summer holiday per year
• Standby shifts required per standard staff expectations
• Hospital may cancel up to 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks
• Floating within service line and overflow areas; travelers float first
• 2 orientation shifts with a preceptor upon start

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage drips including Heparin, Lasix, Amiodarone, and Cardizem (no titration required)
• Interpret cardiac monitor strips and identify rhythm changes using GE Cardiac Monitors
• Administer all breathing treatments; unit accepts up to 6L oxygen only—no high flow or BiPAP
• Common patient diagnoses include renal, GI, sepsis, and mental health conditions
• Nurse aides available on day shift only; nights operate at primary patient care 4:1 assignment

• Respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Charge nurse without assignment on both day and night shifts
• House Supervisors in-house 24/7 with leader on call
• Remote Monitor Techs available
• Charting via Cerner

Requirements

• ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), and ECG certification required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer (maximum 2 attempts)
• Must pass a PASS/FAIL Sim Lab on day 1 of orientation
• EKG competency, cardiac monitoring experience, and groin management experience required
• Navy Blue scrubs required; no t-shirts; closed-toe shoes mandatory
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility and provide valid Driver's License
• BSN not required

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $2,136
• Assignment duration: 182 days
