Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week
• Two weekends (4 shifts) required per 4-week schedule
• Contract labor is first to float with rotation when multiple contract staff are scheduled
• Patient ratio of 6:1 on a 34-bed unit
• Tech support available on both day and night shifts
• Unit secretary available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Required to use IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Med/Surg experience required with ability to prioritize care and multitask
• Must be proficient in starting IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care with bedside shift report and patient/family involvement in plan of care
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
• Required certifications: BLS
• Active RN license required
