Med Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

You will work as an RN on a 36-bed medical-surgical unit located on 12 Tower at Centennial Medical Center. This is a night shift position: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week, with 4 weekend shifts required in each 4-week block. Your assignment runs for 91 days, starting October 12, 2026.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and direct care on a unit with 1:4 or 1:5 patient ratios
• Manage wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, and post-operative procedures including amputations, oral surgeries, and wound vacs
• Care for stroke and seizure patients; monitor dialysis and PCA pumps with Heparin drips
• Float over core staff when needed to support unit census
• Conduct bedside shift reports and safety checks every 1–2 hours
• Implement fall prevention measures and 100% medication scanning including controlled substances
• Follow HAI prevention protocols, including CVC and Foley monitoring

Equipment and Systems

• PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lifts, Broda Chairs, and Alaris IV Pumps
• Meditech documentation system

Requirements and Support

• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Acceptable scrub colors: Navy, Blue, White, Black, Gray, or Ceil Blue
• Daily secretary coverage and PRN technician support on the unit
• Treated as core staff with the same level of accountability and recognition

Weekly pay is $1,918.44. You will be supported by a stable team with consistent administrative and technical resources.
