SLP - SLP Acute Care

Job Details:

• Provide assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Serve adult and geriatric patient populations
• Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent assessment and effective communication
• Assist with clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
• Utilize Epic charting system (experience required)
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, SLP
• At least 2 years of experience required
• Key skills required include: Acute Care, Assessment, Bedside Swallow Evaluation, Communication Board, Compensatory Strategies, CVA, Degenerative Diseases, Dysarthria, Dysphagia, Evaluation, Fluency, Hearing Impairments, Medicare A and B, Modifying Diet Orders, Oral Motor, Passy Muir Valves, Plan of Care, Reassessments, Suctioning, TBI, Thickening Agents, and Trach/Vent
