Pharmacist Travel Job in Richmond, VA

CJW Medical Center Chippenham Campus in Richmond, VA is seeking a Pharmacist for a travel assignment. You will work the night shift from 2:30 PM to 3:00 AM on a 7 on/7 off schedule for 168 days, beginning September 21, 2026.

Role Overview

As a hospital pharmacist, you will be stationed in the Pharmacy department on the 4th floor of the main building. Your responsibilities include IV verification, medication verification, and IV compounding as needed. You will manage complex medication regimens and collaborate closely with clinical teams caring for trauma, burn, critical care, pediatric, and cardiac surgery patients, including those requiring ECMO support.

Required Qualifications

• Current Virginia State Pharmacist license
• Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Dose Edge IV, Pyxis, Meditech Expanse, and Vigilanz systems
• Expertise in advanced dosing: Vancomycin AUC, Aminoglycoside, Renal dosing, Warfarin, Enoxaparin, Heparin, and DOAC protocols
• Knowledge of electrolyte protocols and medication verification workflows

Resources and Systems

You will have access to clinical decision-support tools including Sanford Guide, UpToDate, Vancomycin AUC calculator, Briggs, and LexiDrug. Documentation will be handled through Meditech Expanse, Vigilanz, Dose Edge, Pyxis, and C2 Safe systems.

Compensation and Schedule

This travel position offers weekly pay of $2,118.17 on a 3×12 night shift rotation. The 7 on/7 off schedule provides predictable time off between work blocks.
