Job Details:

• Day shift position with 36 or 48 hours available per week
• 13-week or 26-week contract available with October start dates
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Self-scheduling model in place; manager will do best to accommodate desired schedule
• Work in all units of the Children's Hospital including NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Care for patients across multiple age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics
• Must have Level 4 NICU experience
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Must be competent in caring for patients in a multidisciplinary team requiring strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Must be competent in the use of the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Epic experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, NRP, and VA State License
• PALS and ACCS preferred
• Virginia license required; pending license accepted provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date and another state license is held
• Must be proficient in a wide range of respiratory therapy skills including aerosol setup, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, intubation assist, tracheostomy care, and interpretation of arterial blood gases among others
