ED RN Job in Bennington, VT

Southwestern Vermont Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for its Emergency Room in Bennington, VT. You will work one of two night shifts: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM to 11:00 AM, three days per week. This is a contract position for 89 weeks, starting September 7, 2026.

Role and Environment

You will work in a newly expanded and remodeled emergency room serving a general patient population, including pediatric patients. The department handles approximately 70 patients per day. You will be part of a team that provides direct patient care, assessment, and treatment in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Clinical Requirements and Systems

• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred

You will utilize Meditech for electronic medication administration records (EMAR) and Pyxis for medication dispensing.

Compensation and Duration

This assignment offers $2,300 per week. The contract runs for 89 weeks with a start date of September 7, 2026.
