ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• First time travelers welcome
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Level 2 Trauma experience preferred
• Patient ratio experience of 4-5 patients
• Must pass compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
• Work in a 63-bed emergency department serving approximately 180 visits per day
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and interpretation services
• Respiratory therapy available in the department 24/7 to assist with BiPAP and ABGs
• Adult emergency department with pediatrics in a separate unit
• Travelers may be floated to any campus as needed
