Cath Lab Technologist Job in Columbia, SC

MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with shift end times varying as procedures must be completed. This role includes on-call requirements: one weekend per month (Friday through Sunday), plus one call shift and one evening shift each week. Call requirements may change based on staffing needs. Holiday coverage is required as needed.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Support 4 to 5 labs per day with 2 CVT per lab, managing approximately 20 cases daily
• Perform coronary diagnostic and interventional scrub and monitor duties
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional coronary catheterization, angioplasty, temporary pacing, IABP, Impella support, carotid angiography, atherectomy, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), FFR/IFR, pericardiocentesis, and cardiac biopsies
• Monitor patients during left and right heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, embolization, and IVC filter placement
• Operate specialized equipment including Impella, balloon pumps, Angiojet, Shockwave, MAC Lab documentation, and Vidistar image storage systems
• Maintain PACS and Epic charting systems

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and community hospital experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS certification (registered or in process)
• South Carolina license (SCRQSA)
• Radiation badge required and provided by agency
• Epic charting system experience preferred

You will serve adult and geriatric patients. No floating between service lines or sister facilities. Hospital-issued scrubs are provided for Cath Lab work. The facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period; called-off hours can be divided to equal one shift.
