ICU RN Job in Lafayette, IN

Franciscan Health Lafayette is seeking a registered nurse for our 17-bed ICU unit. You will work three 12-hour shifts per week on a night schedule (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM), with 36 guaranteed hours weekly. Every third weekend is required, and you may be placed on call once every four weeks.

Your responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a mixed acuity ICU setting, including neuro, trauma, medical ICU, stepdown progressive care, and medical overflow patients
• Manage patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4 depending on combined acuity
• Operate and monitor critical equipment including ventilators, IV pumps, CRRT, BiPAP, EKOS, and chest tubes
• Document and communicate using the Epic EMR system
• Float to other units as needed

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of critical care experience
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH stroke scale knowledge
• Strong cardiac rhythm knowledge with ability to pass facility rhythm test at 90% or higher
• Knowledge of TNCC or TCAR certification preferred

Facility expectations:

• Scrubs in navy blue
• Facial piercings must be removed or replaced with flesh-colored jewelry
• Sweatshirts are not acceptable attire
• Complete assigned computer-based training modules prior to or upon starting

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,233.80.
