Telemetry RN Job in Southampton, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 12-hour night shift telemetry position at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital in Southampton, NY. This is an 89-week travel assignment beginning October 5, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,314.03.

Shift Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Float assignments to Med/Surg and Telemetry units, ER Hold, and in rare cases ICU/CCU as support nurse

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification (required due to unit's ability to admit pediatric patients over 5 years of age)

Primary Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and nursing needs while coordinating care with other health disciplines
• Develop written individualized care plans including teaching needs and discharge planning
• Administer direct care using professional nursing skills and judgment
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Practice infection control and maintain a clean and safe environment
• Assume responsibility and accountability for delivery of nursing care to all assigned patients
• Communicate changes in patient condition and questions regarding patient care to Charge RN or Clinician
• Develop and maintain current written plan of care for assigned patients and set priorities to meet patient needs
• Provide documented evidence in medical records of patient and family teaching and their responses
• Communicate and work effectively with other staff and departments
• Participate in unit or hospital-based quality assurance activities or committees
