Telemetry RN Job in Prescott, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a 49-bed telemetry unit at Yavapai Regional Medical Center – West in Prescott, Arizona. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) on an every-other-weekend schedule. You will earn $2,224 per week.

Your responsibilities include:

• Monitor and care for patients with an average ratio of 1:5
• Interpret telemetry strips and sign at least once per shift
• Manage patients with common diagnoses including CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, post-catheterization status, and total joint replacements
• Administer set-rate Diltiazem/Cardizem drips (no titration required)
• Operate respiratory equipment including BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatments
• Float to the East Campus and potentially to PCU when needed, if qualified

Requirements and expectations:

• Current RN license and valid BLS and ACLS certifications
• Pass a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with a minimum 80% score prior to contract signing
• Experience reading basic telemetry strips, CVA/TIA history, and total joint replacement experience
• Cerner electronic health record experience recommended due to limited orientation; one shift of unit orientation will be provided
• Work 2 weekends per 4-week schedule and 2 major holiday shifts per contract
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Self-scheduling system managed by unit leadership for 4-week periods
• Cancellation policy allows 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract is under 13 weeks)
