Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a Med Surg Geriatrics unit
• Must work every other weekend and holidays
• May be required to float to other Med Surg units
• Scrub color required: Ceil Blue
• Required certification: BLS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active RN license required
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care through patient and family interviews and health record review, including discharge planning
• Initiate emergency measures when physician is not immediately available, including resuscitative measures for cardiac or respiratory arrest
• Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by physician, including medications, IV therapy, and respiratory therapy
• Plan, provide, and document patient and family teaching in preventative, curative, and rehabilitative measures
• Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and status of coordinated care activities
• Evaluate patient progress toward care outcomes and update plan of care accordingly
• Provide technical guidance, delegation, and direction to other registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and unlicensed personnel
• Assume oversight for patient care administered by licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel
• Maintain knowledge and competency reflecting current nursing practice and promote professional growth
