ICU RN Job in Smyrna, TN

You'll work as an RN in a 16-bed ICU at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna, Tennessee. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of September 14, 2026, offering three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) at a weekly rate of $1,801.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with a 2:1 patient ratio
• Manage ventilator and sedation protocols
• Titrate medications and monitor advanced hemodynamics
• Perform or assist with procedures including trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion
• Rotate as part of the float team alongside full-time staff and other travel nurses
• Follow every-other-weekend scheduling requirements
• Use Meditech electronic documentation system for all charting
• Communicate using the AIDET framework and complete communication boards
• Provide medication teaching to patients and families

• GE Monitors for patient monitoring
• Nova glucometers for glucose management
• Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Draeger ventilators
• Tech support available on the unit

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Advanced ICU skills including ventilator management, sedation management, and medication titration
• Strong teamwork, positive attitude, and problem-solving abilities
• Charcoal gray scrubs required as uniform
