Occupational Therapist Assistant Job in Oklahoma City, OK

OU Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for an 89-day travel assignment in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. You will work 8-hour shifts as part of a dynamic occupational therapy team, providing skilled interventions and direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

About the Role

You will treat 11–12 patients per day with a goal of 8 patients receiving skilled occupational therapy interventions. Your work will support individualized treatment plans developed by supervising clinicians, with a focus on helping patients regain functional independence and prepare for discharge to home or appropriate settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions aligned with individualized treatment plans as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment strategies, and home management techniques
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Ensure compliance with system-wide, local, state, and federal regulatory requirements by applying relevant standards and best practices
• Attend departmental meetings as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Requirements

Acute, trauma, and critical care experience is preferred. An Oklahoma state occupational therapy license is preferred. You will be part of a facility that prioritizes evidence-based practice and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Assignment Details
