About this role

You will provide direct patient care in our Progressive Care Unit at Banner Gateway Medical Center, located at 1900 N Higley Rd in Gilbert, Arizona. This is a 3x12 day shift position with a duration of 89 days, beginning October 5, 2026. You will earn $2,559 per week.

In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies and professional standards. Your responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments that address physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. You will review patient histories, diagnostic results, and laboratory data, reporting any abnormal findings to physicians and appropriate caregivers.

You will formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. This includes delegating and supervising activities of licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members, and evaluating patient and family responses to care and teaching. You will revise care plans as needed and document all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation in a timely manner.

You will participate in shared leadership, education, role development, and orientation activities with personnel, patients, students, and families. When appropriate, you will precept and mentor staff to support their professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Current, valid RN license in Arizona or compact RN licensure
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
  • Experience working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the PCU specialty
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Professional certification preferred

You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You may be required to lift up to 75 pounds and will use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
