ED RN Job in El Paso, TX

Las Palmas Medical Center El Paso is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a 13-week contract assignment. You will work the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week with 36 or 48 guaranteed hours based on facility approval.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in a 26-bed emergency department with a patient ratio of 4:1. The night shift team includes one Clinical Nurse Coordinator, one Health Unit Coordinator, 6–7 RNs, and 2 PCTs or Paramedics. There are no on-call requirements, and 4 weekend days are required during the 13-week term.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform IV insertion, EKG interpretation and application, Foley catheterization (in and out), lumbar puncture assistance, central line care, moderate sedation monitoring, and cardioversion support
• Operate ventilators, EKG machines, and Teleneuro technology
• Navigate the EMR Level 3 system used throughout the unit
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality emergency care

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), and CPI certification

Preferred Qualifications

• STABLE certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Additional Details

Scrubs must be cobalt or royal blue. The assignment starts November 9, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,791.
