Occupational Therapist

Opportunity:

OT - Therapy Rehab Inpatient

Job Details:

• 5 x 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• No on-call responsibilities
• One weekend shift required per month
• Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs to help build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills for patients with disabilities or developmental delays
• Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication
• Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
• Work with patient diagnoses including CVA, traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedics, cardiac, amputation, medical debility, transplant, and oncology
• Patient ratio of 5 patients per day
• Utilize special equipment including overhead lifts, FES systems, LiteGait, bikes, treadmills, private mat areas, and private ADL practice rooms
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an inpatient rehab facility required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Active OT licensure required
