ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekday shifts with every other weekend required
• Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (RN's choice); overtime applies after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules
• Patient ratio of 5:1
• Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Will float to ED if needed
• No call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; minimum 1 year of in-specialty experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
• Scrub color: Royal Blue/White (RN)
• Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
• MS/Telemetry and ER Holding experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), CPI, TNCC
• IV Therapy/Phlebotomy skills required: accessing ports, blood product administration, peripheral line care and management, and starting IVs
• Medication skills required: Heparin protocols and managing cardiac drips (no titration)
• Neurological/Psychiatric skills required: CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal
• Respiratory/Thoracic skills required: external CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, non-invasive airway management, and care of ventilated patients and tracheostomy management (preferred)
• WV or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted for submission
• Travel experience required
