CVOR Registered Nurse Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Operating Room. This is a 13-week contract position with 40 hours guaranteed per week.

Schedule and Expectations

• Monday through Friday day shifts, 8 hours per shift
• Every 3rd–4th weekend and holiday rotation
• On-call requirements: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, and 1 backup per week with occasional additional call as needed
• 30-minute response time required when on call; a personal vehicle is mandatory
• Work across 21 operating rooms with 4–5 rooms assigned per day

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of OR experience with anesthesia experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience
• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Current AHA or ARC BLS, ACLS, and WI RN License or compact RN license
• Strong CVOR circulating experience
• Proficiency with Epic, Cell Saver, and Belmont equipment
• Experience assisting with intubations, fiber optic scopes, sterile central line techniques, arterial line placement, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters, IV starts, lab draws, and medication pump setup
• Demonstrated ability to assist anesthesia during heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries

• Willingness to complete downtime tasks as assigned
