ICU RN Job in Frankfort, KY

Frankfort Regional Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment in the ICU. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend required.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed ICU with patient ratios of 2:1 and 3:1
• May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED as needed
• Perform telemetry monitoring, paracentesis assistance (physician-led), BiPap management, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Manage equipment including Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, and glucometers
• Document in Meditech Expanse system

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license (Kentucky or compact nursing license)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Current NIH stroke certification (renewed annually)
• Demonstrated competency in CPAP and BiPap management, port access, and therapeutic phlebotomy

The unit is staffed with Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs, providing a collaborative care environment.
