PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• Monday through Friday schedule, no weekends required
• 8-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• 10-bed PACU unit with a team of 6-7 nurses per day shift plus 1 charge nurse
• Perform post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from orthopedic, neurological, genitourinary, ENT, and gynecological procedures
• Utilize equipment including glucometers, GE monitors, and bladder ultrasound
• Document using Meditech EMR system
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Blue scrubs required
• Must be a team player and able to keep up with a busy unit
