PACU RN Job in Fort Worth, TX

Medical City Fort Worth is seeking an RN for our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 19, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a 26-bed PACU located on the 2nd floor adjacent to the operating room. You'll work with patients recovering from general, neuro, oncology, orthopedic, vascular, and all types of surgical procedures. The unit follows ASPAN Guidelines and uses Meditech for electronic medical records.

Schedule and Compensation

This position offers 3x12-hour day shifts with varied start times between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM. You are on-call only for weekends, with one night on-call per week and two weekends required during the contract. Night shift PACU is closed; on-call consists of 2 PACU nurses. Weekly pay is $1,651.

Unit Details

The PACU operates with a 1:2 patient ratio. Floating to Day Surgery may be required. Block scheduling is not available.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• ICU and PACU experience required
• ACLS certification required
