ED Registered Nurse Job in Latrobe, PA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Latrobe Hospital, a high-volume facility managing approximately 80 visits per day across 30 rooms and 28 beds. This is a 3x12 rotating shift position with weekend coverage required. The assignment runs for 119 days, beginning September 28, 2026, and pays $2,098 weekly.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform triage, IV placement and maintenance, phlebotomy, and 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation
• Manage dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, paralytics, and procedural sedation
• Operate BiPAP/CPAP systems, manage chest tubes, and care for ventilated patients
• Administer blood products, apply splints, and administer emergency medications
• Manage psychiatric holds and care for patients with suicidal ideation or behavioral health conditions
• Identify and report signs of neglect or abuse; manage violent behavior safely

Requirements

• Current RN license: Active PA or Compact license required
• Minimum 1 year of emergency nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS (AHA certifications only)
• Proficiency with Cerner charting system
• Patient care experience managing 4–5 patients per shift
• Willingness to work every other holiday
• Availability to float within Latrobe Hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
