ICU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

You will provide direct patient care in our intensive care unit at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Rd, Mesa, AZ. This is a 3-day, 12-hour shift position with a duration of 89 weeks, beginning October 26, 2026. You will earn $2,446.20 per week.

In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies and professional standards. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments—including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural factors—and identify discharge planning needs. You will review patient histories, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers.

You will formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and medical orders. Collaboration with multidisciplinary team members is essential to develop realistic, measurable patient goals. You will delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel. Throughout the patient's stay, you will evaluate responses to care and teaching, revising the plan as needed.

Timely, accurate, and legible documentation of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records is required. You will provide care based on best available evidence and participate in shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives.

Required qualifications:

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Stroke experience required
• Experience in specialty area within the past 12 months
• NIHSS certification required
• BLS certification required
