Job Details:

• Work 5 days per week with an estimated 8 hours per week
• Independently perform imaging and interventional procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative
• Demonstrate proper positioning and appropriate radiographic techniques for all interventional procedures
• Support other departments performing general radiographic procedures as needed
• Administer contrast in accordance with assigned protocols under the direction of the proceduralist
• Maintain aseptic technique during procedures and incorporate a time-out process for patient safety
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols for optimal results
• Document patient history in electronic record as required
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges are entered accurately
• Communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner to help allay fears and solicit cooperation
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology required
• Required certifications and licenses: ARRT Certificate (or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), Basic Life Support (BLS), PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73
