Interventional Radiology Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work 4 shifts per week at 10 hours each, totaling 40 hours weekly on day shift with a start time of 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM. You'll also be on-call for one night shift per week (5:00 PM to 7:00 AM) and every 3–4 weekends (Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 6:00 AM).

Your Responsibilities:

• Independently perform imaging and interventional procedures with proper judgment and initiative
• Demonstrate correct positioning and radiographic techniques for all interventional procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique during procedures and incorporate patient safety time-out protocols
• Administer contrast according to assigned protocols under proceduralist direction
• Communicate clearly with patients, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and cooperation
• Identify all patients using two identifiers and utilize universal protocol
• Review patient history, assess physician orders, and document in the electronic health record
• Ensure exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving, and charges are accurately entered
• Support other departments by performing general radiographic procedures as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology or related imaging
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology
• ARRT Certificate or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification
• Current BLS certification
• Pennsylvania Acts 31, 33, 34, and 73 compliance
