Interventional Radiology Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 97-day travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work 4 days per week on a days shift with 10-hour shifts, earning $3,721 weekly.

In this role, you will independently perform imaging procedures requiring sound judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Your responsibilities include:

• Demonstrate proper positioning and appropriate radiographic techniques for all interventional procedures
• Support other departments performing general radiographic procedures as needed
• Maintain aseptic technique during procedures and uphold patient safety protocols, including time-out processes
• Administer contrast in accordance with assigned protocols under physician direction
• Identify all patients using two identifiers and utilize universal protocol for all procedures
• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition
• Document patient history in the electronic medical record as required
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, with charges accurately entered

Requirements: You must hold an ARRT Certificate, or be a Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, or a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist. You are required to be a graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory. Pennsylvania Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 compliance is required. Assignment begins August 24, 2026.
