PCU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

Join Banner Baywood Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit. This 89-day travel assignment offers you the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a dynamic acute care setting while earning $2,582.10 weekly on a 3x12 day shift schedule.

Your Role:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards
• Review patient history, physical findings, and diagnostic data; report abnormal results to physicians and care team members
• Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and medical requirements, including discharge planning
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate activities of the health care team
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, adjusting the plan as needed
• Document all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation timely and accurately
• Participate in unit and facility shared leadership initiatives that support quality outcomes
• Mentor and precept staff to support professional development

Physical Requirements:

You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You will lift up to 75 pounds regularly and use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Assignment Details:

This role includes a varied work schedule with potential to float between PCU locations and may include on-call requirements. Your assignment runs 89 days, beginning November 2, 2026, at Banner Baywood Medical Center, 6644 E Baywood Ave, Mesa, Arizona.

Qualifications:

• Current, valid RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required
• Experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
