Job Details:

• Work under the supervision of the Respiratory Medical Director and Department Manager in the treatment, management, control, and diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities
• Triage patients safely, rapidly, and accurately upon entering the emergency care system
• Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system
• Communicate with emergency department physicians regarding changes in patient status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies
• Provide respiratory care services following specific physician orders, department policies, and procedures
• Perform patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and therapeutic interventions
• Provide education to patients, caregivers, and the community
• Current Utah State Respiratory Therapist Licensure required
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Valid and active NBRC Credential in good standing required
• AARC/USRC Membership preferred
