Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Position is on a locked incarcerated/forensic unit - must be comfortable working with the prison population
• Float required to other Med/Surg areas, ED, and Postpartum units
• Weekend coverage required with 6 shifts every 6-week period
• 24 orientation hours included
• Self-scheduling type
• 1 year of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI)
• Required skills: Administration of chemotherapy, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, and telemetry
• Unit consists of 16 beds/rooms serving adult patients
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Holiday rotation required - must work 3 of the following 6 holidays: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Tennessee state license or compact multi-state license required
