PCU Registered Nurse Job in Charleston, SC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at MUSC Health Charleston. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend and holiday rotation required.

Position Details:

• Weekly pay: $1,814.40
• Patient ratio: 1:3 or 1:4 depending on staffing needs
• Start date: July 27, 2026
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Solid royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms

Unit Specialization:

The PCU specializes in pre- and post-operative transplant patients including liver, kidney, and kidney/pancreas transplants, as well as nephrology and urology patients. You will care for adult and geriatric populations.

Required Qualifications:

• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN license
• 1+ year of recent PCU experience
• AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Required Clinical Skills:

• Accessing and managing ports
• Arterial line and central line management
• Blood product administration
• Continuous bladder irrigation
• Heparin and IV insulin protocols
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• PICC line management
• Pre/post hemodialysis management
• Non-invasive airway management
• Cardiac and vasoactive drip management
• Liver and renal transplant care
• Wound care and wound vac management

Additional Information:

• First-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block schedule available with manager approval based on unit needs
