NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position
• Level 3 or 4 NICU experience highly preferred
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• Practice independently in the NICU setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care
• Provide routine and complex care with the ability to focus on long-range goals and plans
• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols and monitor for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), NRP, STABLE (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants)
• RN License in the state of TX or compact license required
• Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a Perinatal Setting preferred
