Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work as a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributing professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients
• No on-call responsibilities
• Every third weekend schedule required
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• Orientation scheduled every Monday
• Guaranteed 36-40 hours per week
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses, including ER and ICU if needed
• Work with cardiac, heparin, insulin, and some titration drips on unit
• Patient population includes all post-surgical and post cath patients
• EMR system: EPIC - experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele required
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of nursing experience
• Must be willing to float to ER and ICU if needed
• Active Iowa state nursing license required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date required
• 1 supervisory reference required at time of submission
• License verification must be less than 30 days old
• Must have a taxable address at least 50 miles from the facility
