CVOR Technologist Job in Corpus Christi, TX

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi Shoreline is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to work as a CVOR Technologist. This is a 91-day travel position beginning July 13, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM)
• Weekly pay: $2,341
• Location: Corpus Christi, TX

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist credential or LVN/LPN License
• Minimum 2 years of Neurosurgery experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program
• BLS certification (AHA only)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in General, Ortho, Plastics, Urology, ENT, and Vascular surgery
• Proficiency scrubbing 3 specialty areas including Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, and Robotics

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain sterile field; pass instruments and sutures to physician
• Prepare Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to case type
• Prepare patient skin for surgery and maintain aseptic techniques
• Monitor and control surgical environment including traffic control and dress code adherence
• Maintain and update physician preference cards for case pulling and OR setup
• Adhere to Universal Barrier Precautions in all patient care situations
• Follow facility policies regarding decontamination, processing, and sterilization of instruments
• Transport patients to and from Operating Room suite; position patients according to surgery type
• Identify and care for biological specimens
