Opportunity:

Certified Surgical Tech - CVOR Tech

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 4 days per week, 40 hours per week
• CVOR experience required
• Minimum 2 years of Neurosurgery experience required
• General, Ortho, Plastics, Urology, ENT, and Vascular surgery experience preferred
• Ability to proficiently scrub 3 specialty areas including Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, and Robotics highly preferred
• Perform all processes related to direct patient care and assistance in the OR prior to and during surgical procedures
• Establish and maintain sterile field, pass instruments and sutures to physician, and assist as directed
• Prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to type of case
• Prepare patient skin for surgery and maintain aseptic techniques
• Monitor and control the surgical environment including proper traffic control and dress code adherence
• Maintain and update physician preference cards for pulling cases and OR setup
• Adhere to Universal Barrier Precautions in all patient care situations
• Follow facility policies regarding decontamination, processing, and sterilization of instruments and supplies
• Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite and position patients according to type of surgery
• Identify and care for biological specimens
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA only)
• Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN License required
