Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with 2 out of 3 major holidays or every other holiday as needed based on unit needs
• 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Charting system: EPIC
• 34-bed Med Surg ICU unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-2 in ICU, 1:4-5 in PCU, and 1:5-6 in Med Surg
• Treat adult and pediatric patients (15 years and older) with diagnoses including respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, GI bleeds, and general surgery cases
• Required to titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
• Work with RT equipment ranging from nasal cannula to ventilators
• Required to read and interpret Draeger heart monitoring with centralized telemetry - no monitor techs on unit
• Work with equipment including CVPs, A-lines, Swans, EV-1000, ICP monitoring, Zoll-Thermoguard for hypothermia protocol, and Bell Mont rapid transfuser
• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
• Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
• 2 shifts of unit/department specific orientation provided
• Pass/fail open book exam required during orientation with a minimum passing score of 90%
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care
• Manager will create schedule based on unit needs
• Up to 7 days of requested time off must be submitted upfront for 13-week contracts
