Telemetry RN Job in Bowling Green, KY

You will work as an RN in a 36-bed telemetry unit at Greenview Regional Hospital, caring for cardiac recovery patients. This role offers a structured schedule and the opportunity to develop advanced critical care skills in a supportive environment.

Schedule and Assignment

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Float policy applies; agency staff float first to Ortho and Med-Surg units as needed

Patient Care

• Standard patient ratios of 4:1, with maximum ratio of 6:1 (occasionally 7:1)
• Work with PCTs available on day and night shifts and unit clerks on day shift
• Use remote telemetry monitors and Alaris infusion pumps
• Document in Meditech system
• Strive for 75% patient satisfaction rate

Clinical Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias
• Perform procedures including chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Manage chest tubes and related equipment
• Follow telemetry monitoring policy and stroke policy guidelines

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Telemetry experience required
• Advanced skills: dysrhythmia training and knowledge of chest tubes
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Any scrubs except camouflage
