Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, may vary based on need
• Float to other like units or facilities is required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiac telemetry specialty required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• South Carolina RN license required
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with chest pain, acute coronary syndrome, cardiac arrhythmias, diabetes, syncope, permanent pacemaker insertion, CVA/TIA/stroke work-up, pneumonia, heart failure, COPD, sepsis, and GI bleeding
• Surgical patients include a variety of specialties: general surgery, otolaryngology, gynecology, orthopedics, cardiology, and urology
• Perform cardiac and telemetry monitoring, pulse oximetry, TEE, negative pressure isolation (AFB), thoracentesis/paracentesis, dialysis, and Level 3 administration of continuous intravenous infusions and IV push medications
• Medication systems: Pyxis and Omnicell
• Documentation system: EPIC
• Skills required include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry remote monitoring, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Low census standby possible
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
