Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Rotating day/night shift schedule with rotating weekends and holidays as needed
• Acute care setting with 30-bed unit
• Patient ratios of 1:6/7 - must be comfortable with ratios up to 1:7
• Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appe, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
• Required to titrate heparin drips based on APTT results
• Intermittent BIPAP equipment used on unit (no ventilators)
• Telemetry monitored remotely by monitor technicians
• PCTs available on the unit to assist nursing staff
• One charge RN on the floor with assignment
• Floating as needed based on census - external travelers are first to float
• Charting performed using EPIC system
• Scheduling managed through Qgenda
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must reside outside of 50-mile radius - copy of unexpired driver's license required at submission
