Opportunity:

RN - Tele Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Unit is a 22-bed MedSurg/Tele Neuro floor with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6
• Common diagnoses and patient population include acute stroke, neurological conditions, and general medical floor patients
• RNs are not required to titrate drips
• Charge nurse is present on each shift and takes a patient assignment
• Nurse aides and patient care techs are available on the unit with varying ratios
• BiPap and high flow oxygen equipment present on unit; respiratory therapy manages equipment but RNs are expected to troubleshoot
• Centralized telemetry monitoring in place; RNs are required to review telemetry strips each shift
• Charting system: EPIC
• Self-scheduling with potential adjustments to maintain a balanced schedule
• Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
• Holiday requirement: 2 summer holidays and 3 winter holidays
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Floating may be required to other floors
• Scrub color requirement: Galaxy Blue
• Unit/department-specific orientation: 1-2 shifts
• Required certification: BLS
• BSN not required; active Kentucky nursing license required
