ICU Registered Nurse Job in Carlsbad, NM

Carlsbad Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in our Intensive Care Unit. You will work day shifts, 12 hours per shift, from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, three days per week.

Position Overview

You will provide comprehensive ICU patient care in a 12-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:2–3. Your responsibilities include ventilator management, titratable drips, and direct patient hygiene care. You will float to the Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical departments as needed, taking on different scopes of work in each setting.

Floating Duties

• Emergency Room: Answer call lights, pass medications, transport patients, start IVs, and draw blood.
• Medical-Surgical: Manage a full patient assignment of up to 6 patients or serve as an aide for up to 12 patients.

Assignment Details

• Duration: 13 weeks, starting August 3, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,900.80
• Shift: 3×12 days (no on-call required)
• Holidays required
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated with approval

Requirements

• Current RN license
• 2+ years of ICU experience
• Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene
• TNCC certification preferred

Facility Information
