Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend rotating schedule required
• 13-week assignment length
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele specialty experience required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Active Texas RN license required - temporary licenses are not accepted; active compact RN license accepted
• Meditech documentation system experience preferred
• Floating policy applies as needed
• Perform general Med Surg procedures including IV initiation, NG tube placement, Foley catheter insertion, dressing changes, and ADL assistance
• Responsible for promoting a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and nursing staff
• Must be competent in patient experience standards including AIDET, Bedside Reporting, Hourly Rounding, and Service Recovery
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with Med City embroidery required - proof of purchase required
• No artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails permitted
• Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, including nose rings and tongue rings
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
