ED RN Job in Austin, TX

St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a registered nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in their free-standing emergency department. You will work the night shift from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM on a rotating schedule, including weekends, with no on-call requirements.

About the Role:

• Staff an 11-bed emergency department with a patient ratio of one certified nursing assistant and one RN per shift
• Perform IV starts and 12-lead EKGs
• Conduct patient assessments and triage
• Operate ventilators and point-of-care lab machines
• Document care in the Meditech EMR system

What We're Looking For:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
• Free-standing emergency department (FSED) experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
• Professional demeanor and team-oriented approach to patient care

Assignment Details:

• Duration: 13 weeks (91 days)
• Start date: October 26, 2026
• Schedule: 3x12 nights per week
• Weekly pay: $1,708.20
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs required
