ED Registered Nurse Job in Orangeburg, SC

MUSC Health Orangeburg is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend required. No on-call duties are assigned. This is a 91-day contract position starting November 17, 2026, at $1,888 weekly.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 37-bed emergency department averaging approximately 130 visits per day
• Manage patient ratios based on acuity across all age groups, including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Float as needed to meet facility and departmental needs
• Utilize Epic charting system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries

Requirements

• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license
• 2 years of emergency room experience (first-time travelers with ER experience accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Preferred: CPI and TNCC certifications
• Epic charting experience required

Department Details

The department is equipped with Belmont devices and bedside ultrasound. Staff wear royal blue scrubs. Complimentary parking is provided. You may call off one shift per two-week period.
