ED Registered Nurse Job in Charleston, SC

Join MUSC Health Emergency and Urgent Care in West Ashley as a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department. This 91-day travel assignment begins December 7, 2026, offering a structured schedule and competitive compensation of $1,892.16 weekly.

Schedule & Expectations

• Work three 12-hour rotating shifts per week: two night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) and one mid shift (11:00 AM–11:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Possible float to Kiawah FSED and Summerville FSED as needed
• Facility may call off one shift per two weeks
• Block scheduling available with manager approval based on unit needs
• During hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Patient Care Details

• Patient ratios: 1:5 during days; 1:7 during nights and weekends
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include management of dysrhythmias, central line care, IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP management, triage, phlebotomy, IV placement, emergency medications, procedural sedation, and CVA management

Requirements

• One year of general emergency experience including adult and pediatric populations
• Experience with CVA and Epic charting system
• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: NRP, TNCC
