Opportunity:

RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend coverage required (may change based on need)
• Floating required to like units based on skill set when needed
• Minimum 1 year of experience in orthopedics specialty required
• Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Active Tennessee RN license or multistate license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Patient ratio experience of 6 patients required
• Skills required include: blood product administration, peripheral line care and management, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, med/surg, and total joint replacement
• Skills preferred include: accessing and managing ports, bariatric surgery, bowel obstruction, central line blood draw, colostomy and ileostomy management, feeding tube care and management, ortho trauma, peripheral nerve block catheters, PICC line management, and short stay 23-hour stay unit
• Medication system used is Omnicell
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
