Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health Charleston is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for its Surgical Services department. You will work 3x12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM on a schedule that includes Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday. There is no call requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and surgical teams across a variety of specialty cases
• Float within scope to other units or sister facilities as needed to meet facility demands
• Manage instrument setup, sterilization, and case support

Case Types: You will support Orthopedic (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (cranial, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN procedures. Preferred experience includes Neuro (spines/cranial), ENT (flaps), and DaVinci Xi Robotics cases.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Current NBSTSA certification (NCCT not accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)

Schedule Details: The facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down to equal 1 full shift. Block schedule options are available upon manager approval and based on unit needs.
