Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health - Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for their Surgical Services department. This is a travel position offering competitive weekly pay of $1,377 for a 91-day assignment beginning November 9, 2026.

Schedule and Staffing

• Work 3x12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Potential schedule modification to 4x9-hour shifts to accommodate sister unit needs
• On-call required: 3 to 6 on-call shifts per 4-week schedule period
• Weekend requirement around holidays; holiday call may be required, including possible transplant case coverage
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Float within scope between sister units and sister facilities as needed

Role Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of continuous scrub experience required
• Experience in ophthalmology, neuro, and ENT required for both pediatric and adult populations
• CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) skills required
• Common procedures include Lap Appy, Ortho Trauma, Polytrauma, and Craniotomy

Credentials and Certifications

• Current BLS certification required
• Current NBSTSA certification required
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)

• Located at a pediatric specialty hospital within MUSC Health in Charleston, South Carolina
